Trailer For The Atari XP 50TH Anniversary Official Limited Edition Cartridge Set
In honor of Atari's 50th anniversary, Atari is releasing a set of ten Atari 2600 cartridges for hardcore gamers and collectors. The set includes re-imagined artwork on the cartridges and when they are all put together, they form the Atari 50th Anniversary logo. There’s a trailer for the set that you can watch below.
The games included in the set are Adventure, Missle Command, Warlords, Super Breakout, Crystal Castles, Haunted House, Yar’s Revenge, Centipede, Asteroids, and Gravitar.
The collection costs $999.99 and there were only 100 being made worldwide. Unfortunately, by the time I saw this, it was sold out. But, I still thought I’d post it to show you what Atari is doing to feed on the nostalgia of fans of their console, and it works! I love it!
Each Limited Edition cartridge comes sealed with a high quality box, 2600 game cartridge with custom paint and LED top, premium cardstock poster, extended instructional manual with bonus material, hard enamel collectible pin, polyester blend, twill-woven embroidered collectible patch, certificate of authenticity, and digital copy of the game playable on the Atari VCS.
