Amusing Trailer For The Awkwafina and Sandra Oh Comedy QUIZ LADY
20th Century Studios has released a trailer for a new comedy titled Quiz Lady, which stars Sandra Oh, Awkwafina, Jason Schwartzman, and Will Ferrell.
The film follows two sisters who embark on an adventure in an effort to try and find the money to pay off their mother’s gambling debts. Their journey leads to joining a big gameshow competition. The movie is described as a “hilarious and heartfelt comedy.”
In the film, “a brilliant but tightly wound, gameshow-obsessed young woman, Anne (Awkwafina), and her estranged, train-wreck of a sister Jenny (Oh), must work together to help cover their mother’s gambling debts. When Anne’s beloved dog is kidnapped, they set out on a wild, cross-country trek to get the cash the only way they know how: by turning Anne into a bona-fide gameshow champion.”
Quiz Lady is directed by Jessica Yu from a screenplay written by Jen D’Angelo and the movie also stars Holland Taylor, Tony Hale, and Jon “Dumbfoundead” Park.
The movie is set to premiere on November 3, 2023.
