Trailer For The Awkward Deadpan Comedy LOUSY CARTER Starring David Krumholtz and Martin Starr
Magnolia Pictures has released an amusing trailer for an awkward deadpan comedy titled Lousy Carter. The movie stars David Krumholtz (Oppenheimer) as a university professor who is suddenly told he has six months left to live, and so he leans into being a lousy man-baby.
The story follows, “A ne'er-do-well literature professor adrift on a soulless college campus who learns he only has six months to live. With the clock ticking down, will he change his ways? Probably not… Man-baby Lousy Carter struggles to complete his animated Nabokov adaptation, teaches a graduate seminar on The Great Gatsby, and sleeps with his best friend's wife.”
The movie comes from writer and director Bob Byington (Somebody Up There Likes Me, Infinity Baby, Frances Ferguson), and it also stars Martin Starr, Olivia Thirlby, Jocelyn DeBoer, Macon Blair, and Stephen Root.
The movie opens in theaters and on VOD on March 29th, 2024.
