Trailer For The Biopic Documentary WERNER HERZOG - RADICAL DREAMER
Shout Studios has released a trailer for the upcoming biopic documentary film Werner Herzog - Radical Dreamer, which focuses on the iconic German filmmaker. In the film, Werner Herzog reveals extraordinary anecdotes about the filmmaking process and it also includes interviews, archival footage and never-before-seen excerpts. As someone who has enjoyed Herzog’s film work over the years, I’m looking forward to watching this. There’s no doubt that it’s going to be interesting.
The film is described as being "the only full access documentary on the iconic filmmaking pioneer that is Werner Herzog. This isn't just another Hollywood biopic. It's a rare and unmatched look into Werner's life and creative process."
The synopsis reads: “No one can tell a story like Werner Herzog. But in this thoughtful portrait of the beloved storyteller / filmmaker, we also hear from some of the people who've worked with the German genius during his long career. From filmmakers like Chloé Zhao, Joshua Oppenheimer and Wim Wenders, to singers and actors like Patti Smith, Nicole Kidman, Christian Bale, and Robert Pattinson. Of course, we also hear from 'der Werner' himself, whose distinctive voice offers peculiar anecdotes as old film locations and his childhood home in southern Germany are revisited. Werner Herzog - Radical Dreamer is directed by Thomas von Steinaecker, and it will be released in select theaters and on VOD starting December 5th, 2023.
