Trailer for the Comet Disaster Movie GREENLAND with Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin
STX Films has released an intense new trailer for the upcoming comet disaster movie Greenland. The movie stars Gerard Butler (300, Law Abiding Citizen, Fallen) and Morena Baccarin (Deadpool, Gotham) as they embark on a journey of survival with their young son to get to an underground bunker Greenland before the Earth is destroyed by a comet.
The movie was directed by Ric Roman Waugh (Shot Caller, Snitch), and it actually looks kinda good for a disaster movie! It looks like a frightening situation to be in! It’s never a good thing when the sky starts falling.
The movie also stars Scott Glenn (The Hunt for Red October, Daredevil), and here’s the synopsis:
A family fights for survival as a planet-killing comet races to Earth. John Garrity (Gerard Butler), his estranged wife Allison (Morena Baccarin), and young son Nathan make a perilous journey to their only hope for sanctuary. Amid terrifying news accounts of cities around the world being leveled by the comet’s fragments, the Garrity’s experience the best and worst in humanity while they battle the increasing panic and lawlessness surrounding them. As the countdown to global apocalypse approaches zero, their incredible trek culminates in a desperate and last-minute flight to a possible safe haven.
STX will release Greenland in US theaters everywhere on August 14th.
