Trailer For The Crime Thriller THE LOCKSMITH with Ryan Phillippe, Kate Bosworth, and Ving Rhames
Screen Media Films has released a trailer for a new crime con thriller titled The Locksmith. The movie stars Ryan Phillipe as an ex-con who is trying to get his life back on track after being released from prison. He is hoping to work his way back into the lives of his daughter and ex-fiancé, but while he attempts to stay out of trouble, trouble finds him and he is forced to use the skills he has as a talented locksmith. Things take a then take a turn for the worse after an unexpected disappearance.
Phillippe plays Miller Graham in the movie and he’s joined by Kate Bosworth, Ving Rhames, Jeffrey Nordling, Gabriela Quezada, Madeleine Guilbot, Noel Gugliemi, and Charlie Weber. It looks like an ok crime story that will include some different twists and turns. I like the cast, and for that reason, I’ll probably end up watching it. Here’s the synopsis:
Miller (Ryan Phillippe), an ex-con recently released from prison for a bungled robbery, tries to walk a straight line and work his way back into the lives of his ex, Beth (Kate Bosworth), a police detective, and their young daughter. While Miller is doing his best to stay on the straight and narrow with the help of an old friend (Ving Rhames), he finds his past will not stay in the past, and he is forced to commit one last crime before he can truly walk away. Things once again go badly, and now not only his freedom, but also his daughter’s life, hang in the balance.
The Locksmith is directed by first time feature film director Nicolas Harvard from a script written by Joe Russo and Chris LaMont, based on a story by Blair Kroeber. Screen Media will release the movie in theaters and on VOD starting February 3rd, 2023.
