Trailer for The CW's New DC Animated Series VIXEN

The CW continues to expand its DC superhero universe, and one of the additions is an animated digital series for CW Seed called Vixen. This is the first animated show to be introduced the DC lineup, and it looks like it could be a fun watch for fans.

Megalyn Echikunwoke (The Following) voices the lead character, Mari McCabe. She is an orphan from Africa who inherits a totem that basically gives her the powers of animals.

The series also includes characters from the rest of The CW’s DC universe: the voices of Stephen Amell as Arrow, Grant Gustin as The Flash, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, and Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon.

The Vixen trailer was shown to fans at the DC Superhero Saturday Night Comic-Con panel in Hall H, and is now online for you to watch!

Originally from Africa, Mari McCabe’s parents were killed by local greed, corruption, and wanton violence. But the orphaned Mari refuses to succumb to the terrors surrounding her.
Inheriting her family’s Tantu Totem, Mari can access the powers of animals – anything from the super-strength of a gorilla to the speed of a cheetah. As Vixen, she fights valiantly to protect the world from threats like those that claimed her family.
