JUJUTSU KAISEN Director’s New Anime BULLET/BULLET Drops Wild Trailer for Disney+

Disney+ is leaning harder into anime, and their latest original project looks like an absolute blast. BULLET/BULLET, the new sci-fi action series from Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 and Ninja Kamui director Sunghoo Park, just dropped its first full trailer, and it’s loaded with energy, attitude, and cool style.

While full plot details are still under wraps, we know the story follows a character named Gear, who takes a high-stakes job recovering an item from some very dangerous people. Naturally, things spiral into full-blown chaos.

The story is set in a ruined wasteland where the remnants of technology are treated like artifacts and where survival often comes down to how fast you can think or shoot.

The trailer introduces viewers to a post-apocalyptic future where forgotten tech and chaos rule the world, all to the beat of its opening theme “WORK HARD” by Chanmina. Visually, it carries the raw kinetic energy we’ve come to expect from Park.

Rather than rolling out week-by-week like most anime, Disney+ will drop the first eight episodes on July 16, followed by the final four on August 13. International audiences will get it via the Star platform, while Hulu will likely handle U.S. streaming.

The series is produced by Park’s own E&H Production alongside Studio GAGA, and it’s been a long time coming—Park reportedly spent over a decade developing the concept.

The creative team includes Aki Kindaichi, who is handling the scripts, Takahiro Yoshimatsu is leading character design and animation direction, and Hidetaka Tenjin is crafting the mechanical designs. And if you're into anime car chases, Shin Misawa is overseeing that, so expect some high-speed, high-stakes sequences.

The cast include Marina Inoue leading as Gear, with supporting roles played by Kazuhiro Yamaji (Polar Bear), Kana Hanazawa, Rie Kugimiya, Tomokazu Seki, Ai Orikasa, and many others.

If BULLET/BULLET can hit the same heights as Park’s past work, it could be one of this summer’s breakout anime hits. It looks wild, and it looks like a total adrenaline shot for anime fans looking for something original.
