Trailer for THE DOUBLE with Jesse Eisenberg and Mia Wasikowska

Magnolia Pictures has released a new trailer for their upcoming dark comedy, The Double, which stars Jesse Eisenberg and Mia Wasikowska.

Eisenberg plays a man who is driven into madness by the sudden appearance of his doppelganger who starts to take over his life. It looks like a fun and twisted film, and it's based on the novel by Fyodor Dostoevsky.

Simon is a timid man, scratching out an isolated existence in an indifferent world. He is overlooked at work, scorned by his mother, and ignored by the woman of his dreams. The arrival of a new co-worker, James, serves to upset the balance. James is both Simon's exact physical double and his opposite — confident, charismatic and good with women. To Simon's horror, James slowly starts taking over his life.

The movie was directed by Richard Ayoade (Submarine), and it will be showing at The Sundance Film Festival. The film has screened already at previous film fests and has been getting very positive buzz. It looks like it will be a film worth checking out! Thanks to Total Film for the trailer!
