Trailer for the Father-Daughter Road Trip Drama-Comedy TREASURE Starring Stephen Fry and Lena Dunham

Bleecker Street and FilmNation have released the trailer for an upcoming film titled Treasure, which centers on a father and daughter who embark on a road trip set in post-communist Poland.

The film stars Stephen Fry and Lena Dunham and follows Ruth (Dunham), “an American music journalist, and her father, Edek (Fry), a charmingly stubborn Holocaust survivor, on a journey to his homeland.

“While Ruth is eager to make sense of her family’s past, Edek embarks on the trip with his own agenda. This emotional, funny culture clash between the two is a powerful example of how reconnecting with family and the past can be a treasure.”

The movie is described as a “heartfelt exploration of the complexities of family ties and the power of reconnecting with one's roots.”

Dunham and Fry are said to bring “a powerful blend of tragedy and comedy to the film, pulling audiences in with reliability and truth. Through laughter and tears, this film reminds audiences that the journey to understanding our past can lead to the unexpected.”

The movie will be released on June 14th, 2024.
