Trailer for THE GOOD DOCTOR Season 5 Teases Shaun and Lea’s Wedding
ABC has released the trailer for the upcoming fifth season of David Shore’s hit medical drama The Good Doctor. The series stars Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, and the trailer teases his wedding in the series. At the end of last season, Lea (Paige Spara) asked Shaun to marry her. As you might expect, there are going to be some issues as the two attempt to plan the perfect wedding.
The series centers around Dr. Shaun Murphy, “a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, who relocates from a quiet country life to join the prestigious St. Bonaventure hospital’s surgical unit,” reads the synopsis. “Alone in the world and unable to personally connect with those around him, his only advocate, Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff), challenges the skepticism and prejudices of the hospital’s board and staff when he brings him in to join the team. Shaun will need to work harder than he ever has before, as he navigates his new environment and relationships to prove to his colleagues that his extraordinary medical gifts will save lives.”
The Good Doctor also stars Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman, Will Yun Lee as Dr. Alex Park, Fiona Gubelmann as Dr. Morgan Reznick, Christina Chang as Dr. Audrey Lim, Bria Samoné Henderson as Dr. Jordan Allen, Noah Galvin as Dr. Asher Wolke, and Osvaldo Benavides as Dr. Mateo Rendón Osma.
The series is scheduled to make its return on Monday, September 27.
