The first trailer has been released for a great looking new film called We Have Always Lived in the Castle. The movie is based on the novel by Shirley Jackson, the author of The Haunting of Hill House.

I enjoy a good and creepy gothic mystery thriller and this story focuses on two sisters who live “secluded in a large manor and care for their deranged Uncle Julian. The rest of their family died five years before, under suspicious circumstances. When a cousin arrives for a visit, family secrets and scandals unravel.”

The film also has a pretty fantastic cast that includes Alexandra Daddario (Baywatch), Taissa Farmiga (The Nun), Crispin Glover (Back to the Future), and Sebastian Stan (Captain America: The Winter Solider).

We Have Always Lived in the Castle is directed by Stacie Passon and it will be released on May 17th, 2019.
