Trailer for the Gothic Horror Thriller ANGELICA with Jena Malone
I've always like Jena Malone. She's done a ton of film work over the years, but is probably best known for her role as Johanna Mason in The Hunger Games franchise. Anyway, it's good to see that she has a new movie coming out. It's called Angelica and it's a gothic victorian set supernatural horror thriller that is described as a "spellbinding ghost story about desire, repression and its consequences". Here's the synopsis:
In Victorian London, puritanical doctors prescribe abstinence to a young couple after the life-threatening birth of their daughter. Sexual repression leads to obsession and opens the door to paranormal phenomena in this psychosexual gothic drama.
I like the Victorian setting of the film and I enjoy a good gothic horror film, but this could go either way. The movie could turn out being a decent horror movie or it could turn out being a turd. I'll give it a shot, though, because I give most horror movies a shot.
Angelica is set to be released on November 17th.
