Trailer for Dafne Keen's Horror Film WHISTLE Summons a Mean, Nasty New Threat

The first trailer for Whistle has dropped, and it wastes no time setting up a cruel and inventive nightmare. Directed by Corin Hardy (The Nun) and written by Owen Egerton, the horror thriller centers on a group of high school outsiders whose curiosity leads them straight into hell.

When they uncover an ancient Aztec Death Whistle, they quickly learn that blowing it isn’t just a bad idea, it’s a death sentence. Each piercing shriek summons a violent vision of their own future demise, and those visions don’t stay visions for long.

The trailer leans hard into dread, mixing brutal imagery with a relentless sense of panic as the body count climbs.

The cast includes Dafne Keen, Sophie Nélisse, Sky Yang, Jhaleil Swaby, Ali Skovbye, Percy Hynes White, Michelle Fairley, and Nick Frost.

The footage highlights a scrappy group dynamic that slowly fractures under pressure as they race to uncover the whistle’s origins and figure out how to stop the carnage they’ve unleashed.

Hardy brings a nasty edge to the visuals, blending supernatural horror with a grounded, almost mean-spirited tension that will with you. Whistle is shaping up to be a vicious crowd-pleaser.

The movie hits theaters on February 6th.
