Trailer for the Korean Mystery Thriller Monster Series GYEONGSONG CREATURE
Netflix continues to release some great international content and they’ve recently shared a trailer for its upcoming Korean mystery thriller series, GyeongSeong Creature. The series, set to premiere in two parts starting in late December, promises to take viewers on a gripping journey through the historical and mysterious landscape of Gyeongseong (old Seoul) in 1945.
The teaser provides a tantalizing glimpse as the story, which is set against the backdrop of Seoul's grim era under colonial rule, the series follows an entrepreneur and a sleuth who “fight for survival and face a monster born out of human greed. Park Seo-jun portrays Jang Tae-sang, the owner of the House of Golden Treasure pawnshop – the wealthiest, most well-connected person in Gyeongseong –, and Han So-hee takes on the role of Yoon Chae-ok, a sleuth with a reputation for the impossible. Together, they delve into the mysterious and tumultuous world of 1945.”
The cast also includes Han So-hee, Claudia Kim, known for her role in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, alongside Kim Hae-sook, Cho Han-cheul, and Wi Ha-jun from the critically acclaimed Squid Game.
Directed by Korean filmmaker Chung Dong-yoon, known for his work on the Hot Stove League series, and scripted by Kang Eun-kyung, the creative mind behind Dr. Romantic and What Happens to My Family?, GyeongSeong Creature promises a perfect blend of suspense, mystery, and historical intrigue.
GyeongSeong Creature Part 1 will stream on Netflix from December 22nd, 2023, followed by the release of Part 2 on January 5th, 2024.
