Trailer For The Maple Syrup Heist Dark Comedy Series THE STICKY
Prime Video has released the first trailer for the upcoming dark comedy series The Sticky, which centers around an epic maple syrup heist.
The series stars Margo Martindale as Ruth Landry, a tough, middle-aged maple syrup farmer who turns to crime when the bureaucratic authorities threaten to take away everything she loves.
In the story, “She teams up with the hot-tempered Bostonian mobster (Chris Diamantopoulos), and a mild-mannered French-Canadian security guard (Guillaume Cyr) to carry out a multi-million-dollar heist on Quebec’s maple syrup surplus.”
The show is based on the real Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist, but makes it’s made clear in the trailer that “this is absolutely not the true story.”
It looks like a fun show! The series comes from Brian Donovan and Ed Herro, who serve as executive producers and showrunners.
Other cast members include Gita Millier, Guy Nadon, Mickaël Gouin, Suzanne Clément, Mark O’Brien, Meegwun Fairbrother, and Vickie Papavs, with Jamie Lee Curtis appearing in a guest role.
The series will consist of six half-hour episodes and it will debut on December 6th.
