Trailer For The ROSEMARY'S BABY Prequel Film APARTMENT 7A Starring Julia Garner

Paramount+ has released the first trailer for Apartment 7A, which serves as a prequel to director Roman Polanski’s classic 1968 horror movie Rosemary’s Baby. It looks like it’ll be a good unsettling and eerie movie, but not as good as the original.

Julia Garner stars in the film and the new story is set at the iconic Bramford building in New York City, which is where the original film took place.

Garner plays a struggling, young dancer who suffers a devastating injury, and she finds herself drawn in by dark forces when a peculiar, well-connected, older couple promises her a shot at fame.

The full synopsis reads: “Dancer Terry Gionoffrio dreams of fame and fortune in New York City, but after suffering a devastating injury, an older, wealthy couple welcomes her into their home in the luxury apartment building the Bramford.

“When fellow resident and influential Broadway producer offers her another chance at fame, it seems that all her dreams are finally coming true.

“However, after an evening she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career as she realizes that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A, but in the Bramford itself.”

Garner is joined in the film by Dianne Wiest (I Care a Lot), Kevin McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean), Jim Sturgess (Across the Universe), Marli Siu (Everything I Know About Love), Andrew Buchan (All the Money in the World), Rosy McEwen (Blue Jean) and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith (Wonka).

Apartment 7A is the perfect way to kick off the Halloween season,” said Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President, Programming, Paramount+. “Director Natalie Erika James and the prodigious creative team have crafted a chilling and clever new entry into the genre.”

The psychological horror thriller was directed by Natalie Erika James (Relic). This is a Paramount+ original movie in association with Paramount Pictures and is based on the novel Rosemary’s Baby by Ira Levin.

It’s based on a screen story by Skylar James and a script by Natalie Erika JamesChristian White, and Skylar James.

Apartment 7A debuts exclusively on Paramount+ on September 27. Watch the trailer and let us know what you think.
