Trailer for the Russo Brothers' Marvel vs. DC Comics Docuseries SLUGFEST

The Russo Brothers have announced that they are bringing their upcoming docuseries Slugfest to Roku. The project was originally set to head to the short-lived “quick bite” streaming service Quibi, but after that folded in 2020, the series needed a place to land, and Roku was happy to scoop it up. The 10-episode docuseries, made by Joe and Anthony Russo, focuses on the infamous rivalry between Marvel vs DC comics.

The Russos teased how viewers will react to the series, saying in a statement that:

"Audiences will leave 'Slugfest' with a whole new of understanding of how the rivalry between two creative powerhouses shaped the iconic storylines and characters that fans around the world have come to know and love. We're thrilled to partner with The Roku Channel to unpack the fascinating, but untold, history behind the most well-known competition in comics."

This sounds like an interesting doc for fans of one or both comic book houses. Check out the trailer for the series below, and watch Slugfest when it comes to Roku, where you can stream it for free, on December 24, 2021.
