Trailer For The Sharksploitation Film MEGALODON: THE FRENZY, The Asylum's Take on THE MEG 2
The Asylum has released the first trailer for its new Sharksploitation film Megalodon: The Frenzy, which is their mockbuster ripoff of The Meg 2: The Trench.
In the film, “When a frenzy of five Megalodons torment the open ocean, the stakes have never been higher.” You can expect a lot of blood, chaos, death, and insanely bad dialogue. I wouldn’t be surprised if The Asylum is having AI writing their scripts.
Megalodon: The Frenzy is directed by Brendan Petrizzo, and the cast includes Caroline Williams and Eric Roberts alongside Jessica Chancellor, Jeff Daniels, Alex Trumble, Javier Luna, Ben Formella, Chase Hamilton, Jordan Hubbard, Victoria Grant, Sharon Desiree, Liam Hawley, Jordy Tulleners, and Sarah Fraser.
The movie will be available on Digital platforms beginning August 18. It’s also being released in select theaters across the United States on August 25th.
