Creepy Trailer for Shudder's Demonic Horror Movie ELEVATOR GAME

“Experience terror on another level.” Shudder has released the trailer for its upcoming horror movie Elevator Game, which is based on the urban legend that became an online phenomenon. The movie tells the story of a group of teens that conduct a ritual in an elevator that is supposed to take them to another dimension. This actually looks like it could be a decently creepy horror film that will deliver some solid scary thrills.

Players of the game have to follow a set of rules and to play you must ride the elevator in a specific sequence, invoking a supernatural creature called "The 5th Floor Woman." But if they break one of the rules the demon will come after them, which is obviously what happens.

The description for the film reads: “Based on the online phenomenon of the same name, Elevator Game follows socially awkward teenager Ryan, who ingratiates himself into a group of recent high school graduates that run an online web series debunking urban legends. But Ryan has a secret: His sister disappeared months earlier, and believes they – and a dangerous online challenge called 'The Elevator Game' – were responsible. To play, you must ride the elevator in a specific sequence, invoking a supernatural creature called 'The 5th Floor Woman'. In an attempt to gain more information as to the whereabouts of his sister, Ryan persuades the group to play the game once more, and risk unleashing the most fearsome consequences imaginable.”

Elevator Game is directed by writer and director Rebekah McKendry and it stars Gino Anania, Verity Marks, Alec Carlos, Madison MacIsaac, Liam Stewart-Kanigan, Nazariy Demkowicz, and Megan Best.

Shudder will release Elevator Game on September 15th, 2023.
