Trailer for the Supernatural Horror Film THE ISLAND BETWEEN TIDES From PETER PAN Author J.M. Barrie

Here’s the trailer for an upcoming supernatural horror movie titled The Island Between Tides which is based on Peter Pan author J.M. Barrie’s gothic ghost story Mary Rose.

I had the opportunity to watch this film at FilmQuest, and it takes audiences on a suspenseful, slow-burn journey into the coastal wilderness of Alaska.

The film follows Lily, played by Paloma Kwiatkowski, and the story begins with her being lured by a haunting melody to a remote tidal island.

But when she returns, everything she knows has changed. Time has passed by decades, and this twist not only serves as a jolt of horror but taps into our deep fear of isolation and loss.

In the film was directed by Austin Andrews and Andrew Holmes. The cast includes Donal Logue (Zodiac, Blade) and Adam Beach (The Power of the Dog), with Paloma Kwiatkowski, David Mazouz, and Camille Sullivan also starring.

J.M. Barrie’s Mary Rose originally took to the stage as a play back in 1920. Alfred Hitchcock tried to turn the play into a film, but it never ended up happening.

As I said in my review: “The Island Between Tides is a hauntingly beautiful supernatural thriller that completely pulls you into its eerie, unsettling atmosphere from the very beginning. It’s a gripping story that engages your mind and keeps you guessing, with an eerie vibe that had me hooked as it unfolded layer by layer.”

The film is being released March 7 in Canada and the US, and March 21 in the UK. You can read my review of the film here.
