Trailer for the Virtual Cast Reunion of THE SANDLOT!
The cast of the classic 1993 baseball film The Sandlot is reuniting for the fans! The virtual reunion is being hosted by Justin Turner (Los Angeles Dodgers), Kourtney Turner, and Patrick Renna, who played Hamilton “Ham” Porter inThe Sandlot. Renna shared the first trailer for the reunion, which you can check out below.
Renna is joined by pretty much all of the main cast members including director David Mickey Evans. However, Mike Vitar, who played Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez, was not a part of it. When talking about getting back together with the gang again, Renna said:
“We're such great friends again, all of us, and it reminds me of what it was like filming the movie. We were such fast friends and they worked so hard to create that atmosphere. One of the deciding factors on casting any of us was that they would bring us out to make sure that we got along with the other guys. And because we were all such good friends in real life it showed through on the screen, and it's just funny even 25 years later, we fell right back into it.”
The cast members who are a part of it includes Tom Guiry (Scotty Smalls), Chauncey Leopardi (Michael “Squints” Palledorous), Marty York (Alan “Yeah-Yeah” McClennan), Brandon Quintin Adams (Kenny DeNunez), Grant Gelt (Bertram Weeks), Victor DiMattia (Timmy Timmons), Shane Obedzinski (Tommy “Repeat” Timmons), Marley Shelton (Wendy Peffercorn), Wil Horneff (Phillips), and Art LaFleur, who played The Babe.
There are also some special guests, Dee Gordon of the Seattle Mariners, Mike Moustakas of the Cincinnati Reds, Enrique Hernandez of the Los Angeles Dodgers, and Andre Ethier of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The cast discusses the movie, their favorite moments, and what it was like to make the movie, and they reenact some fan-favorite scenes.
The Sandlot Cast Reunion will premiere Wednesday, July 15 on the You're Killing Me with Patrick Renna YouTube channel.
