Trailer for Tom Holland's Murder Mystery Thriller Series THE CROWDED ROOM
Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried’s upcoming murder mystery thriller series The Crowded Room. The story is set in 1970s New York City, and it follows a young man who is arrested for a shooting. Things get complicated when it’s revealed that he has memory issues and now all of a sudden we don’t know if he’s telling the truth or hiding something.
The Crowded Room follows Danny Sullivan (Holland), “a man who is arrested following his involvement in a shooting in New York City in 1979. A captivating thriller told through a series of interviews with curious interrogator Rya Goodwin (Amanda Seyfried), Danny's life story unfolds, revealing elements of the mysterious past that shaped him, and the twists and turns that will lead him to a life-altering revelation.”
Tihs looks like it will be an interesting crime thriller mystery series. From what I understand this series is inspired by Billy Milligan, who is the first person ever acquitted of a crime because of multiple personality disorder, now known as dissociative identity disorder.
The Crowded Room is a 10-episode limited series from Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind). Holland also executive produces and the ensemble cast includes Emmy Rossum (Shameless), Sasha Lane (Loki), Will Chase (Dopesick), and Lior Raz (Fauda), with guest stars Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter), Christopher Abbott (First Man), Thomas Sadoski (The Newsroom), and Zachary Golinger (Evil).
The Crowded Room will be streaming on Apple TV+ on June 9th.
