Trailer for UK Political Thriller Series SECRET SERVICE Starring Gemma Arterton
ITV has released a trailer for their upcoming UK based political thriller series Secret Service, starring Gemma Arterton as MI6 officer Kate Henderson.
She is joined in the cast by Rafe Spall, Alexander Terentyev, Roger Allam, Avi Nash, Mark Stanley, Alex Kingston, Amaka Okafor, and Khalid Abdalla.
The series is directed by filmmaker James Marsh (The Theory of Everything, King of Thieves, Man on Wire, Project Nim), and the story is based on the bestselling novel by journalist and writer Tom Bradby.
The show’s synopsis reads: “Secret Service is a gripping and timely thriller set against the backdrop of escalating geopolitical tensions.
“It follows senior MI6 officer Kate Henderson (Gemma Arterton) as she uncovers intelligence suggesting a high-ranking British politician may be operating as a Russian asset.
“As trust fractures in the corridors of power, Kate is drawn into an increasingly dangerous web of deceit, where shifting loyalties and personal stakes collide and exposing the truth could cost her everything.”
