Trailer for V/H/S/HALLOWEEN Teases Twisted Found Footage Terror
The first teaser trailer has arrived for V/H/S/Halloween, the eighth installment in the long-running found footage anthology series. The film will premiere on Shudder on October 3, 2025, just in time for the holiday season.
The brief description reads: “A collection of Halloween-themed videotapes unleashes a series of twisted, blood-soaked tales, turning trick-or-treat into a struggle for survival.” As with previous entries, the film gathers a variety of directors to bring their own dark visions to the franchise.
Actress Kate Siegel, who stepped behind the camera for V/H/S/Beyond, explained why the format continues to be exciting for filmmakers.
“V/H/S has always been a springboard for new and up-and-coming filmmakers. It’s a unique situation where you are part of a team, but you’re also an individual, so you have the support of an established franchise, but their mission is to give new filmmakers creative control.”
The upcoming film will feature six new stories, each with its own director and style of terror. Bryan M. Ferguson (Pumpkin Guts) directs Diet Phanasma, Casper Kelly (Too Many Cooks) helms Fun Size, and Micheline Pitt-Norman and R.H. Norman (Grummy) team up for Home Haunt. Alex Ross Perry (Her Smell) brings Kidprint, Paco Plaza (REC) directs UT Supra Sic Infra, and Anna Zlokovic (Appendage) delivers Coohie Coochie Coo.
With its Halloween theme and an eclectic mix of storytellers, V/H/S/Halloween is set to bring fans another collection of unsettling and inventive tales for horror fans to enjoy!
The franchise has built its reputation on pushing boundaries and offering new voices a platform, and this year’s entry looks to carry on that tradition with a blood-soaked seasonal twist.
