Trailer for Western HOSTILE TERRITORY Based on the True Story of the Orphan Trains

A new trailer has been released for the western film Hostile Territory, which was written and directed by Brian Presley (The Great Alaskan Race), who also stars. He is joined in the cast by Craig Tate (12 Years a Slave), Natalie Whittle (Orbital Redux), Matt McCoy (The Hand That Rocks the Cradle), Lew Temple (Waitress), and Brad Leland (Friday Night Lights).

Here’s the synopsis:

“Upon returning home after the Civil War, former POW Jack Calgrove finds out his wife has died and his children—now presumed orphans—were loaded on a train bound for hostile territory deep in the American West. With the help of a fellow Union soldier, a troop of elite Native American sharpshooters, and a former slave searching desperately for her own daughter, Calgrove races to intercept the orphan train before all hope is lost.”

This has kind of a TV movie feel to it, but I am very interested in this story. I am a big genealogy buff, and I am actually trying to do research on a relative who I believe was put on an orphan train. I have never seen this historical event in a film, so I am looking forward to checking this out. Watch the trailer below, and view Hostile Territory on Digital, Blu-ray™ and DVD on June 14th.
