Trailer For Will Smith and Tom Holland's Animated Spy Comedy SPIES IN DISGUISE
Fox released the first trailer for their new animated spy action comedy Spies in Disguise starring Will Smith (Men in Black), Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Far From Home) and Karen Gillan (Avengers: Infinity War).
Smith takes on the role of Lance Sterling, one of the coolest, most charming, and super-skilled spies in the world. He has a partner who is a young scientific genius that creates the gadgets that Lance uses on his mission, and in the trailer we see that he ends up transforming Lance into a pigeon.
Super spy Lance Sterling (Will Smith) and scientist Walter Beckett (Tom Holland) are almost exact opposites. Lance is smooth, suave and debonair. Walter is... not. But what Walter lacks in social skills he makes up for in smarts and invention, creating the awesome gadgets Lance uses on his epic missions. But when events take an unexpected turn, Walter and Lance suddenly have to rely on each other in a whole new way. And if this odd couple can’t learn to work as a team, the whole world is in peril. SPIES IN DISGUISE is an animated comedy set in the high-octane globe-trotting world of international espionage.
The movie looks silly but fun. It was directed by Nick Bruno (Epic, The Peanuts Movie) and Troy Quane (Ice Age: Collision Course). The project is based on an animated short called Pigeon: Impossible by Lucas Martell.
Spies in Disguise will open in theaters on January 18, 2019.
