Trailer for Willem Dafoe's Alaskan Sled Dog Adventure Movie TOGO Coming to Disney+
The next great Willem Dafoe movie is coming to Disney+! The film is a sled dog adventure survival movie set in Alaska, and it’s titled, Togo. This film is set in 1925 and tells the untold true story that “treks across the treacherous terrain of the Alaskan tundra for an exhilarating and uplifting adventure that will test the strength, courage and determination of one man, Leonhard Seppala, and his lead sled dog, Togo.”
Seppala and his sled dogs have to travel 300 treacherous miles for a serum to save the children in a small Alaskan town from a deadly epidemic. This is an incredible story, and this looks like a great film adaptation of it! While I’m excited to watch it on Disney+, it’s still a shame that we won’t get to see this thrilling adventure up on the big screen.
The movie was directed by Ericson Core (Invincible and Point Break), and it also stars Julianne Nicholson, Christopher Heyerdahl, Michael Gaston, Michael McElhatton, Jamie McShane, Michael Greyeyes, as well as Thorbjørn Harr.
The poignant and emotional adventure debuts on Disney+ on December 20, 2019.
