Trailer for YOU Season 4 Finds Joe Being Stalked by a New Killer in London
New year, new country, new persona - and yet Joe can’t seem to shake off his past.
Netflix has released the first official trailer for You Season 4, and it shows Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) living in London as a teacher at a university where he ends up falling in with a group of people filled with “privileged douchebags.”
As he fights the urge to attach to another woman, another killer emerges, and Joe finds himself transforming from predator to prey. He now finds himself on a mission to find out who is stalking him.
In You Season 4, “Posing as a literature professor named Jonathan Moore at a London university, Joe is surprised to find he enjoys teaching, despite being surrounded by egocentric socialites. But when members of London’s wealthy elite start dropping like flies, Joe discovers there may be another murderer in his midst.”
The trailer also features the return of Tati Gabrielle as love interest Marienne Bellamy, who fled the country after discovering the truth about Joe’s heinous crimes. Season 3 of the series concluded with Joe moving to Paris to search for Marienne after faking his own death.
Season 4 also stars Charlotte Ritchie as Kate. “She’s fearsomely smart, independent, suspicious, misses nothing. She is fiercely loyal to her friends, a brick wall to everyone else. The daughter of a chaotic, bohemian single mother, Kate worked hard to create the life she now leads. She’s an art gallery director whose job means managing tempestuous artists.”
The psychological thriller series is based on the novel by Caroline Kepnes which follws Joe Goldberg, a man who will do just about anything when love is at stake, including torturing and murdering people. You Season 4: Part 1 will premiere on February 9th, 2023 with Part 2 coming on March 9th.
