Trailer for Zac Efron's Wrestling Biopic THE IRON CLAW Tells the Story of the Von Erich Brothers
A24 has released the first trailer for the upcoming wrestling biopic, The Iron Claw, which tells the dramatic and tragic story of the wrestling dynasty of the Von Erich brothers. This looks like it’s going to be a great movie!
The movie stars Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, and Holt McCallany. The film follows “the rise and fall of the family dynasty of wrestlers who made a huge impact on the sport from the 1960s to the present day.” As brothers had to battle inside the ring, outside they found themselves dealing with a series of tragedies that became known as the “Von Erich curse.”
In the film, Efron plays Kevin Von Erich, White portrays Kerry Von Erich, Dickinson plays David Von Erich, and McCallany plays Fritz Von Erich.
The movie was written and directed by Sean Durkin (Martha Marcy May Marlene), and it also stars Lily James (Downton Abbey, Yesterday, Pam & Tommy) as Kevin’s wife Pam, and Maura Tierney as the family’s matriarch Doris.
A24 will release the film on December 22nd.
