Trailer: John Travolta Gets His Own JOHN WICK-Style Revenge Film with I AM WRATH

When I hear the name John Travolta, I instantly think of the attractive macho man in Pulp Fiction or the FBI agent in Face/Off. I guess that’s just some sort of human tendency to cling on to something that has been long gone when the present cannot offer anything better. As iconic as these two movies are, I cannot honestly say the same about the most recent Travolta movies. His star doesn’t appear to be shining that brightly nowadays — at least not for me. His presence in the film industry has faded away, to some extent, and he appears to have joined the group of actors who star in a movie just for the money and for the sake of not being completely forgotten. This is a way to wave at us and say “Hey, we are still here. Not as good as before, but still here.”

Finding out that Travolta was going to star in I Am Wrath made me extremely excited at first. Who wouldn’t like to see the rebirth of Travolta, right? But after watching ComingSoon's new trailer for the film, all I could muster was "meh."

Here’s an official synopsis:

Unemployed engineer Stanley Hill (Travolta) witnesses the brutal murder of his wife Vivian (Rebecca De Mornay, TV's Jessica Jones) who was attacked by thugs in a parking garage. When Detective Gibson (Sam Trammell, True Blood) and other corrupt police officers are unable and unwilling to bring the killers to justice, Stanley turns to his old friend Dennis (Christopher Meloni, Man of Steel, TVs Law & Order) and decides to take matters into his own hands. It is only then that Stanley and Dennis are found to have a mysterious past that, until now, they kept very well hidden.
As they wreak their revenge, those involved in the cover up realize that Stanley and Dennis are more dangerous than they could have ever imagined…

I Am Wrath hits theaters on May 13, 2016, but I think I will be hitting the skip button instead.

Do you think the movie is worth seeing?
