Cool Trailer Released For The STAR WARS: SECRETS OF EMPIRE VR Experience From The Void and ILMxLAB
Lucasfilm, ILMxLAB, and The VOID have teamed up to offer Star Wars fans the ultimate Star Wars experience with a VR experience called Star Wars Secrets of the Empire. The VR experience will debut at Walt Disney World in Florida and Downtown Disney in Anaheim, and today we have an awesome trailer for you to check out to get you pumped up for it! Here's the description that was released:
A galaxy far, far away needs your help. In teams of four, be transported with family and friends in a brand new hyper-reality experience from Lucasfilm, ILMxLAB and The VOID.
Under the orders of the budding rebellion, your team will travel to the molten planet of Mustafar. Your mission is to recover Imperial intelligence vital to the rebellion’s survival. Alongside the pragmatic droid K-2S0, your team must navigate through an enemy facility walking into danger at every turn. Disguised as stormtroopers, grab your blaster, solve puzzles, and fight giant lava monsters in an effort to fulfill your team's orders.
Pushing the boundaries of location-based virtual reality, The VOID and ILMxLAB bring the Star Wars universe to life through a multi-sensory, untethered story.
I've actually tried out one of The Void's VR experiences at their headquarters in Utah. It was their Ghostbusters VR experience and it was insanely cool! I can only imagine how much more amazing a Star Wars VR experience will be! I'm incredibly excited about trying this out!
You are able to walk around freely in the experience and it's multi-sensory. For example, if you see a chair in the game, you can sit in that chair in real life. If you are walking on top of a building you will feel the wind blow, if there is a certain smell that you're supposed to be smelling, you'll smell it. Everything you touch and feel is the same texture as what you are seeing in the game. It's seriously cool!

“People have longed for a chance to step into the Star Wars universe and this incredible new hyper-reality experience will allow them to do just that in a totally unique way. It’s a group experience that evokes the senses in bold new ways.”
The story is canon and the experience takes place sometime before the events of Rogue One. It will be 30-minutes long and it will allow players to shoot a blaster, solve some puzzles, and fight giant lava monsters.
