Trailer Unleashes Luke Evans and Milla Jovovich’s Post-Apocalyptic Creature Feature WORLDBREAKER
Aura Entertainment has released the trailer for Worldbreaker, a gritty sci-fi action thriller that leans hard into creature-feature territory and post-apocalyptic survival.
Directed by Brad Anderson (Session 9) and is looks ready to deliver a gnarly mix of monsters, family drama, and all-out survival chaos.
Set in a world torn apart by terrifying creatures known as Breakers, the story centers on Willa, a young girl living in isolation on a remote island with her father. He’s a battle-scarred veteran who’s turned survival into a daily discipline, training Willa for the horrors beyond their fragile refuge.
While they hide, Willa’s mother fights on the front lines of a brutal war against the Breakers. The balance they’ve built doesn’t last long. When a mysterious girl washes ashore, it becomes clear that the war they tried to escape has finally caught up with them. Willa is forced to decide whether survival means running again or standing her ground and fighting.
Anderson frames the film as a high-stakes survival story with a personal edge, blending intimate character moments with large-scale threats. The Breakers look especially nasty, towering spider-like monsters that feel ripped straight out of a nightmare. Where they come from is still a mystery, but the trailer makes it clear they’re relentless and horrifying.
The official synopsis reads: “After the Breakers rose—monsters that infect and twist their victims—men fell first, leaving women to lead the fight. Willa’s mother is one of the war’s fiercest warriors; her father, a battle-scarred veteran, hides with Willa on a remote island, training her to survive.
“Their fragile peace is shattered when a mysterious girl drifts ashore. Willa, longing for connection, shelters her in secret—until the truth emerges and danger follows. With Breakers closing in, Willa must rely on her father’s training and her own courage to survive.”
Worldbreaker stars Luke Evans as Willa’s hardened father, alongside Milla Jovovich, Billie Boullet, Mila Harris, and Kevin Glynn. With Anderson at the helm, whose past work includes The Machinist, The Call, and Fractured, the film looks like it will balance intense psychological tension with full-on creature chaos.
The trailer promises a pulse-pounding ride packed with survival instincts, sacrifice, and a young woman stepping into a war she was never meant to face so soon.
Aura Entertainment will release Worldbreaker in theaters on January 30th, 2026.
