TRANSFORMERS ONE Director Josh Cooley Teases All the Fan Service and Easter Eggs in the Film

Transformers One director Josh Cooley brought some footage of the film to San Diego Comic-Con last month, and he really seemed passionate about the project.

He talked about his history with the franchise, also having the incredible cast weight in on their own favorite characters, and their memories watching the shows over the years. It’s a passion project for sure, and now Cooley is teasing even more info that fans will get a kick out of.

In a recent interview with ScreenRant, Cooley said:

“Every scene has something in it. My crew at Island and at Paramount, they are all fans. We're all massive fans. We all grew up with it, every generation, every version. So there is an Easter egg probably from every single version of it, and it's everywhere.

There's stuff I'm like, 'Wait a second, what's that character doing?' And the animator's like, ‘Oh, I thought I'd throw them in there.' I was like, 'Great, let's do it.' So there's a lot of love that went into making this film.”

The film features Chris Hemsworth as Orion Pax / Optimus Prime, Brian Tyree Henry as D-16 / Megatron, Scarlett Johansson as Elita-1, and Keegan-Michael Key as B-127 / Bumblebee.

This movie tells the “origin story of how the most iconic characters in the Transformers universe, Orion Pax and D-16, went from brothers-in-arms to become sworn enemies, Optimus Prime and Megatron.”

Transformers One will hit theaters on September 20th. Are you looking forward to it?
