Travel to Avernus with D&D's NEVERWINTER: INFERNAL DESCENT

Perfect World and Cryptic Studios recently announced Neverwinter: Infernal Descent. This is the next major module for Neverwinter and is based on the Dungeons & Dragons content from Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus.

Chaos erupts in Faerûn when Vallenhas Manor and its surrounding lands are plunged into Avernus, the first layer of the Nine Hells. This takes place during the Blood War, a never-ending conflict between demons and devils. Adventurers will team up with two new heroes, the Paladin Alric Vallenhas and the Bard Etrien Sael for an epic quest to the Nine Hells to save the Vallenhas Estate from being ravaged by demonic invaders.

If you play the free-to-play MMORPG Neverwinter on PC, you’ll be able to enjoy Infernal Descent on January 21, 2020. If you play on PS4 or Xbox One, you’ll have to wait for “a later date.” Infernal Descent is set to be the first campaign designed for level 80 characters and will include a new endgame dungeon and adventure zone.

In celebration of the announcement, PC players can now participate in the Hell Pit event spanning the next three weeks.
