Trialer For DON'T PUSH THAT Unleashes a $1,500 Sci-Fi Comedy About Pressing The Worst Button Ever

There’s something special about scrappy indie sci-fi, especially when it leans into absurdity and just goes for it. A trailer has landed for Don’t Push That!, a silly, super low-budget sci-fi comedy that proves you don’t need a massive budget to come up with a clever hook and have some fun blowing up reality.

The film comes from filmmaker Durden Godfrey, working out of Jacksonville, Florida, and it was made on an impressively tiny budget of just $1,500. That DIY energy is baked into the concept.

The story follows three friends who stumble across a mysterious government device with a very clear warning label. Naturally, they ignore it. The device predicts the worst possible outcome of any given moment, and once it’s activated, the trio is forced to keep pressing its ominous button every eleven minutes to prevent reality from tearing itself apart.

Things only get messier from there. Rogue agents are on their tail, along with an eccentric self-styled “shadow patriot” named Tru Vega. With exploding timelines looming, the friends find themselves stuck in a cycle of panic, prediction, and pressing the button, all while trying to figure out whether fate is something you fight or just trip over on the way out.

Don’t Push That! plays in a fun space, mixing tightly framed visual gags with chaotic energy and a layer of urban sci-fi satire. It’s a darkly funny ride built around curiosity, consequences, and choosing which version of disaster you can live with. The floating multiverse box at the center of it all is a simple but cool idea, and the trailer gets plenty of mileage out of it.

The film stars Taurean Royal, Domanick Graham, and Dalaiah Simeon, who all lean into the offbeat rhythm of the material. Godfrey both writes and directs. The film is produced by Angela Petlansky and David Petlansky under the Toilet On The Roof Productions banner.

Don’t Push That! hasn’t premiered at any festivals yet, but it’s currently expected to be released sometime in summer 2026.
