A trippy trailer and a poster have been released for the Paramount+ thriller Significant Other, starring Maika Monroe (It Follows, The Stranger) and Jake Lacy (The Office, The White Lotus. The cast also includes Teal Sherer and Loudon McCleery. The film is written and directed by filmmakers Dan Berk and Robert Olsen (Body, The Stakelander, Villains).

Here’s the synopsis:

Significant Other follows a young couple (Maika Monroe & Jake Lacy) who take a remote backpacking trip through the Pacific Northwest and face sinister events leading them to realize that everything about the place is not as it seems.

This looks like a super dark and twisted story! It looks like it will keep you guessing and definitely get creepy. Significant Other hits Paramount+ on October 7th, just in time for spooky season. Watch the trailer below, and let us know if you’ll be checking it out.
