TRON LEGACY Is Getting an Official LEGO Set

Tron Legacy was a fun movie. The music was great, the action was fun to watch, and the visuals were amazing. People still whisper the idea of a third Tron movie (it should totally still happen). I remember watching Tron Legacy with friends and afterward we were all talking about the cool things we wanted to build: the data discs, the jets, the suits, and most importantly the light cycle. The light cycle is freaking dope! In 2018, our dreams will be realized and we’ll be able to build our own light cycle, albeit not a functioning one. LEGO has chosen the Tron Legacy light cycle as the winner of their 2017 LEGO Ideas campaign (submitted by BrickBros UK) and it looks like it'll come with a Sam Flynn mini-figure. It beat out some tough competitors like The Office and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (that would’ve been equally awesome). There is a high chance that this set will be a one-off like the previous winners of the LEGO Idea contests, so be vigilant if you want one. Pricing and the actual release date have not been revealed yet, but check out the official announcement below and let us know how bad you feel for the guy that has to swim in a pool of LEGO bricks (OUCH!).
