CBS All Access has announced that they are developing a series based on the true crime podcast Happy Face. The podcast is based on the “Happy Face Killer,” Keith Hunter Jesperson, from the point of view of his daughter, Melissa Moore, who is a contributor on The Dr. Oz Show now.

Moore found out that her father was the infamous murderer when she was 15 years old, and spent the next several years distancing herself from her father, changing her name, and grappling with the pain he had caused.

Her father eventually reached out to her from prison in Oregon, and admitted to additional crimes and victims, pulling her into a further investigation and forcing her to face her father’s crimes and how they impacted the families of his victims as well as his family he left behind.

This was a hardcore podcast to listen to, even for a true crime fan. Jesperson’s crimes were so brutal, and it’s heartbreaking to hear Moore’s story, as she was just another victim in his wake. This should make a fascinating series, and I am interested in checking it out. Any other murderinos on board?
