TV Spot for Eli Roth's THANKSGIVING Teases a New Holiday Horror Legend
A new TV spot has been released for Eli Roth’s holiday horror slasher movie Thanksgiving, and it introduces us to a new American holiday horror legend. In the film, a slasher stalks the quiet streets of Plymouth, Massachusetts, stalking its residents as they celebrate time-honored Thanksgiving traditions.
Thanksgiving is based on the faux trailer that Roth directed for the 2017 film Grindhouse. The story centers on a killer who looks like a pilgrim who “makes his own carving board out of the inhabitants of a Massachusetts town that makes a big annual fuss over the annual turkey day.”
In the film, "After a Black Friday riot ends in tragedy, a mysterious Thanksgiving-inspired killer terrorizes Plymouth, Massachusetts -- the birthplace of the holiday. Picking off residents one by one, what begins as random revenge killings are soon revealed to be part of a larger, sinister holiday plan. Will the town uncover the killer and survive the holidays...or become guests at his twisted holiday dinner table?"
The cast includes Addison Rae (He’s All That) in the lead role, Patrick Dempsey, Jalen Thomas Brooks (Walker), Milo Manheim (Zombies), Nell Verlaque (Big Shot), Gina Gershon (Chucky), Tim Dillon and Rick Hoffman (Hostel).
Roth wrote the script with Jeff Rendell. Roger Birnbaum and Eli Roth are producing. Thanksgiving will be released in theaters on November 17th, 2023.
