Two Actors Rumored to Be in the Running to Play Harvey Dent/Two-Face in Matt Reeves' Sequel THE BATMAN 2
After the success of last year’s The Batman, fans are looking forward to director Matt Reeves’ follow-up sequel. The film, which is set to go into production early next year, will follow a new Batman story, which is rumored to feature Harvey Dent aka Two-Face, and the villain Clayface.
Now we have news of the rumored actors in the running to play Harvey Dent/Two-Face in the film. Insider John Rocha revealed the rumored shortlist on The Hot Mic podcast with Jeff Sneider, saying the role of Gotham District Attorney Harvey Dent is down to Josh Hartnett and Joel Edgerton.
Hartnett is known for film roles in Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, Pearl Harbor, Black Hawk Down, and Lucky Number Slevin. He was previously rumored to have been tied to Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy as a contender to play the Dark Knight himself.
Edgerton has previously starred in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, Smokin' Aces, Zero Dark Thirty, Loving, and most recently the TV series Obi-Wan Kenobi. He has previously worked with Robert Pattinson on several films.
Both actors have great roles under their belts, and if they are both in the running, then each of their auditions must have proven to be intriguing. Robert Pattinson is returning to the sequel to play Bruce Wayne/Batman, and Andy Serkis will also be back as the butler at Wayne Manor, Alfred.
