Two New Expansions Teased for POWER RANGERS: HEROES OF THE GRID Including the Thunderzords

Renegade Game Studios had a fun Gen Con panel that talked about a bunch of games that I’m excited for (especially My Father’s Work). Towards the end though, Scott Gaeta teased info for a new Power Rangers game in development but was “accidentally” muted so then he and Teri Litorco talked a bit about some new stuff for Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid. He also teased some more info about a new Power Rangers game, but that got muted, so no info was given. Now, the actual news we got.

First, Squat and Baboo are coming to the game as a Character Pack. This was teased with some beautiful art featuring the punk versions of Billy and Kimberly. Also, the Thunderzords are coming as part of a Legendary Ranger pack!

This fall, the Legendary Rangers: Forever Rangers pack and Squat and Baboo will be launching as a pre-order event with a secret surprise in-store for fans of the game. I know we were all hoping for a bit more about the upcoming stuff, but I’m excited to see the Thunderzords. I would love it if punk Billy and punk Kimberly somehow got brought to the game, but I have no idea how that would work.

My gut reaction to the Legendary Rangers pack is that we’ll see characters like Adam, Aisha, Rocky, and Kat as wider releases. Right now, they’re Kickstarter Exclusive items, so that would be great to get. I’m just not sure what else it would really be at the moment. The previous Legendary Ranger pack was all about Tommy Oliver, but no other Ranger has had such a legacy and Forever Rangers is a very vague subtitle. What do you think of these teases? What are you hoping to see?
