Two New Masterminds and Maps Revealed for RESIDENT EVIL RESISTANCE
Resident Evil Resistance was revealed several months ago as Project Resistance. It is an asymmetric online 4v1 game where four survivors try to outsmart the dastardly mastermind. It sounds pretty awesome and crazy. Well, Capcom recently shared two new Masterminds as well as two of the new maps available.
The first Mastermind is Alex Wesker from Resident Evil Revelations 2. She is all about traps and map manipulation. When things net to get “really serious,” Alex calls in Yateveo, a vicious carnivorous plant to block Survivors.
The second new Mastermind is Ozwell E. Spencer. Ozwell is one of the founders of Umbrella Corporation and he uses cutting edge technology to make things hell for the Survivors. While other Masterminds summon bioweapons like Yateveo, Ozwell creates a Disintegration Field “that severely damages any Survivor who haplessly passes through it.”
The two new maps for RE Resistance are the Casino and Abandoned Park. These sound like perfect locations for this new horror-like game.
Casino: An entertainment facility for thrill-seekers… and insidious Masterminds. Its still-operating slot machines and chips strewn across the floor tell the eerie tale of how hastily it was deserted during the collapse of Raccoon City.
Abandoned Park: A horror-themed park located on the outskirts of Raccoon City. It too was left abandoned when zombies and bioweapons overran Raccoon City. Now, monsters both real and imagined now patiently await visitors.
RE Resistance will be included with Resident Evil 3 which is available on April 3 for PC (via Steam), PS4, and Xbox One.
