Two New OVERWATCH Books For The Fans Of Art and Stickers

Overwatch has become quite a cultural influencer. Two games, a vast set of special cinematics, books, toys, clothes, a gigantic professional league, and more have come from this one franchise. This month, we have two more books that cover different interests compared to their previous novels and comics. The Cinematic Art Of Overwatch: Volume 2 is a deeper dive into the lore, art direction, and pristinely printed images of the second half of Overwatch character cinematics. The second book, Overwatch Sticker Art Puzzles, is a large sticker book that has a lot of characters and some of their iconic skins. Both books are high quality and great for fans of the game.

The cinematics in Overwatch are always beautifully done, well written, and exciting. Having a deeper look into each short, its background, and its concepts are wonderful for those who love that kind of stuff. The book is huge and looks good on display. The images and paper quality are about as good as it can get for that price point. I do wish there was a bit more discussion and art from the early stages of the cinematics, meaning more looks into how and why these moments and movies were chosen to show the fans. But overall, it is a really beautiful piece to have in your collection.

Stickers can be lots of fun. A sticker puzzle with Overwatch characters can be perfect for the right kind of person, but this book definitely has a specific audience. That’s fine, but don’t plan on this being the perfect gift for just any Overwatch fan. The book is filled with pages of a variety of Overwatch characters, mostly a selected group of the original roster in their original costumes. Then, the new costume for each character is chopped up into stickers that are used to cover the original costume. Looking at the image above shows the process pretty clearly. It can be a lot of fun but requires a lot of precision and patience.

Check out the books at the Blizzard store and on Amazon.
