Two Newcomers Join Jason Reitman's GHOSTBUSTERS 3

Jason Reitman has cast two young newcomers in his highly anticipated Ghostbusters 3, which is going to be a sequel to the original two movies. Celeste O’Connor (Selah and the Spades) and Logan Kim have signed on to join Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace. It’s also said that Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, and Ernie Hudson will return to reprise their roles.

Reitman wrote the film with Monster House director Gil Kenan, and it’s said to be a love letter to the original movie and that it will have an Amblin-style feel to it. It’s also been reported that it will “focus on a family who moves back home to a small town. While there, they begin to ‘learn more about who they are and the secrets of the town itself.’”

We don’t know how exactly the movie will connect to the original Ghostbusters movies, but I can’t wait to find out! There are no details on who O’Connor and Kim are playing in the film, but I imagine they’ll be friends of the main kid characters.

When talking about the casting, Reitman said, “Celeste and Logan are rare talents and we’re all grateful that they’ll be lending their unique voices to ‘GB20.'”

Ghostbusters is slated to hit theaters on July 10th, 2020.
