Two Teen Pranksters End Up in the Middle of Dangerous Conspiracy in the Sci-Fi Short SKYWATCH

I’ve got a fantastic sci-fi short film that you’ve got to watch today titled Skywatch. This is a proof-of-concept film written and directed by former Pixar employee Colin Levy that follows a couple of outcast teens who “hack into a ubiquitous drone delivery system to pull a prank on their neighbor.” When they accidentally crash-land a dangerous drone prototype, they find themselves entangled in a life-and-death conspiracy.

The film was funded by Kickstarter and has been six years in the making. The film was made by volunteering artists from across the world and Levy actually left his job at Pixar to finish the film! The movie stars Uriah Shelton (13 Reasons Why, Looking For Alaska) and Zach Callison (Steven Universe, The Goldbergs), and it also features an appearance by Jude Law.

This is an incredibly well-made short film that the creators are hoping to turn into a feature film. I enjoyed the story and characters, and the VFX work was top notch. There were some very talented people involved with the making of this short and you can see the skills and artistry at work when you watch the film. So… enjoy!
