TYRANNY OF DRAGONS is a Beautiful Book Collecting Two Classic Adventures for D&D Fans

Dungeons & Dragons has released a new hardcover copy of Tyranny of Dragons and it looks incredible. Have you seen the cover art? It’s stunning! If you don’t know what Tyranny of Dragons is, it is the name for the first two official adventures for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition: Hoard of the Dragon Queen and The Rise of Tiamat. These adventures are well loved by the community and it’s nice to have them in one beautiful book. In addition, some feedback was incorporated into the printing “to smooth out the curve for new players.” Players will also find the online resources for the adventures are now included in the book and some beautiful concept art is also in the appendix.

Avert the cataclysmic return of Tiamat in this adventure for the world’s greatest roleplaying game.

In an audacious bid for power, the Cult of the Dragon leads the charge in an unholy campaign to bring Tiamat back to Faerûn. Alongside their dragon allies and the Red Wizards of Thay, they sweep from town to town, laying waste to all those who oppose them and gathering a hoard of riches for their dread queen.

The threat of annihilation has become so dire that groups as disparate as the Harpers and Zhentarim are banding together to fight the cult. The heroes must succeed, or Faerûn will succumb to draconic tyranny. In the end, the world will never be the same.

Tyranny of Dragons is designed to bring a party of four adventurers all the way from level 1 to level 16 and will see them facing incredible evil. I have not had the pleasure of playing these adventures, but after reading through them, I really want to. I’ve heard from some that the adventures tend to railroad players too much, but there are ways to help break that up, and there are even little sidequests included to help break off from time to time and throw a little spice into the mix. If you’re a new party/DM or looking for a new campaign, you may want to consider returning to some of the earlier adventures in Tyranny of Dragons.

Tyranny of Dragons, with a beautiful cover by Hydro74, is now available via your local game store.
