Ubisoft Announces New ASSASSIN'S CREED Games and Shows More at Recent Ubisoft Forward
Over the weekend, Ubisoft held an Ubisoft Forward where they announced some games and provided more information regarding previously announced titles. You can catch the whole video down below or read on for some of the highlights.
First, news that made big waves came from the Assassin’s Creed franchise. It was revealed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the next entry to release, will take place in 9th century Baghdad and center around Basim Ibn Is’haq who fans will recognize from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Ubisoft said that Mirage is meant to be an homage to earlier titles in the franchise. Assassin’s Creed Codename RED was also revealed, and we were told that players will finally be headed to feudal Japan in an open-world RPG experience. RED will be followed by Assassin’s Creed Codename HEXE with no additional details given. Assassin’s Creed INFINITY is also in the works and it will be “a hub that connects players through different types of Assassin's Creed experiences, including RED and HEXE.” I’m not entirely sure what that means although my theory is that it will essentially be a launcher for you to more easily access all your Assassin’s Creed games. Mobile gamers can look forward to a new AAA RPG action-adventure game set in ancient China currently titled Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade. The final announcement from the Assassin’s Creed team was that they’re working with Netflix to create a live-action adaptation of Assassin’s Creed with a mobile game that will be exclusive to Netflix members. The last foray into adapting Assassin’s Creed went over so well, I’m sure fans will hype this one up and not immediately dismiss it.
Assassin’s Creed wasn’t the only game present at the Forward although I can see why you would think that. Ubisoft spent some time talking about Skull and Bones which is set to launch on November 8. Fans got a look at The Helm, in-game trading networks, some of the various ships you can sail, and more. If you’re looking ot play on PC, you can sign up for the Insider Program to play before it goes live on Amazon Luna, PC, PS5, Stadia, and Xbox Series X|S (affiliate link).
Nintendo fans got the news that Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will bring Rayman into the game with its third DLC expansion. Sparks of Hope will release for the Nintendo Switch on October 20 and the DLC with Rayman will be available separate or as part of the Season Pass. Fans also got a new gameplay video showing off Mario and friends including the new Rabbid Rosalina as they fight on Terra Flora.
Ubisoft is celebrating the third anniversary of Ubisoft+ and giving players Ubisoft+ Multi-Access on Amazon Luna, PC, and Stadia for free until October 10. This gives you access to 100+ Ubisoft titles including big games like Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion, Child of Light, and more.
Just Dance 2023 Edition was announced to release on November 22. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S (affiliate link) and brings 40 new songs from Dua Lipa, K/DA, Justin Timberlake, and more.
There was a lot more news for games like Riders Republic, Trackmania, The Crew 2, and more, so check out the full video below if you’re interested in other Ubisoft titles. What are you must excited about?
