UMBRELLA ACADEMY's Colm Feore To Star in Post-Apocalyptic Western SIX GUNS FOR HIRE
Colm Feore (The Umbrella Academy, My Salinger Year, The Amazing Spiderman 2) is set to star in a post-apocalyptic western titled Six Guns for Hire.
Six Guns for Hire is the third film in a trilogy, and it follows “a vicious group of strangers who gather to divvy up the spoils of a train robbery, while an ace detective pursues hot on their trail. As the bandits realize they may not be strangers after all, the detective unearths a deadly conspiracy at the heart of their crime.”
All three films were written and directed by Matt Campagna and they all exist within the same post-apocalyptic world, without being traditional sequels or prequels to each other. The first film, Six Reasons Why, was released in 2008 and the second one is Six Days to Die, which will make the film festival rounds this year.
Melissa D’Agostino is co-directing the latest film, and she said in a statement:
“We’re very fortunate to be able to continue making films in such challenging times. Our past experience in VFX and working with greenscreen kept us in production by leading us to create a unique COVID shooting plan to keep all cast and crew safe. The circumstances of the pandemic have brought about opportunities to innovate, and we’re thrilled to bring back the original cast, as well as work with new actors on the latest story.”
Six Guns For Hire just started principal photography in Toronto, Canada. It also stars Maurice Dean Wint (The Kid Detective, Diggstown), Oyin Oladejo (Star Trek: Discovery, Endlings), and Patrick Kwok-Choon (Star Trek: Discovery, Wynonna Earp).
