Unhinged Trailer for the Serial Killer Thriller PSYCHO KILLER from the Writer of SE7EN

20th Century Studios has released the official trailer for Psycho Killer, a new horror thriller that looks absolutely unhinged, and if twisted serial killer stories are your thing, this one is definitely worth keeping on your radar.

The film stars Georgina Campbell as a Kansas highway patrol officer whose life is ripped apart when her husband is brutally murdered. Refusing to stand by, she takes justice into her own hands and begins tracking the killer across the country. But as the trailer makes clear, this isn’t just a straightforward manhunt.

The official synopsis teases: “Following the brutal murder of her husband, a Kansas highway patrol officer (Georgina Campbell) sets out on a journey to track down the perpetrator.

“As the hunt progresses, she comes to realize the man responsible (James Preston Rogers) is a sadistic serial killer, and the depth of his mental depravity and his sinister agenda is more twisted than anyone could have imagined.”

Campbell faces off against James Preston Rogers, who looks terrifying in the role of the sadistic killer. The supporting cast includes Grace Dove, Logan Miller, and horror legend Malcolm McDowell.

Psycho Killer marks the feature directorial debut of Gavin Polone, best known as the producer behind Zombieland, Premium Rush, A Dog’s Purpose, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. He’s also directed episodes of Jane By Design, Twisted, and Finding Carter.

The screenplay comes from Andrew Kevin Walker, the writer of Se7en, which is about as perfect a pedigree as you could hope for with a serial killer story.

Produced by Roy Lee, Matt Berenson, Andrew Kevin Walker, and Arnon Milchan, the film is being marketed as a road-trip thriller with a terrifying edge. Judging by the trailer, Psycho Killer isn’t just another chase-the-killer story, it looks like it’s digging into some truly disturbing psychological territory.

Psycho Killer opens in theaters nationwide on February 20, 2026. If the trailer is anything to go by, this one is going to be a bloody and twisted ride.
